Kim distills the Spring 2016 trends:
Lace – Very Feminine and Sexy. The good thing about it, is even when it is no longer the trend, lace always looks lovely.
Bare Shoulders – I love this feminine, soft look.
Wrap around shoe – I love these shoes in photos. Honestly they can get a bit tricky when you wrap them, whether you tie them too tight or too loose.
The Wide pant –These pants are fabulous if you have some height. If you are shorty like me, then wear a nice high platform. It’s also more flattering if you wear a tighter more fitted top, these pants are going to give your wardrobe some dimension this season.
Dramatic Earrings – For me they are always in season. I love to wear them when my hair is loose for a more dressed up evening look, but I love the drama of the earring when my hair is in a ponytail. In fact, on the “dirty hair day”, tie your hair up and wear these earrings for a super fab look.
The Blazer – I have always used blazers and jackets to keep my wardrobe interesting. If you tend to stick to basics, then blazers are a great way to keep your look pulled together and stylish. After all, you can’t go wrong with jeans, T-shirt and a Blazer. You can also collect blazers in interesting fabrics to keep your closet dynamic.
RED – I’m a big lover of red, I’m so excited that red is the color of the season. I know many people tend to shy away from red. You could always incorporate it in your accessories, like a handbag or some red lipstick. If you have warmer/yellow skin tones, choose a red that has more orange to it and if you have fair, more pinky skin tone, go for a “blueish red”, like Candy Apple Red!
How to wear Red lipstick
by Make up artist Paula Scarpino
The secret is a long wearing non-drying lipstick. To start put a lip primer on either matte or a gloss primer depending on what look you are going for. I like “Toofaced LIP Insurance".. For lipstick I like the “Toofaced Melted” because the contour applicator allows perfect application and goes on creamy. It stays on like a stain. The two colors I use are Strawberry (warmer skin tones) and Velvet (cooler skin tones).
