A little self-love goes a long way ❤️

Most of us feel disconnected from our body right now. Instead, we should be looking at it as a sense of energy and joy.
Many of my clients have gained a few pounds during quarantine.  Leaving them feeling down and defeated.  I understand that we are all struggling through the day to day stress of this "new normal".  Constantly being aggravated by politics and juggling our new day to day challenges. You are not alone, you will also find me eating my dairy, free salted caramel ice-cream too, as way to escape.

I know that criticizing our body is easy and we all do it, but I am starting to see too many of my clients allowing their "inner villain" to take over, thus preventing them from getting dressed and feeling great on a daily basis. Sweat pants have become the new normal and I have to remind you all that the great Karl Lagerfeld was notorious for his quote, "Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life, so you bought some sweatpants.”

This weekend, I ask you, instead of waiting to loose weight before you start making an effort to get dressed everyday, change your habit of self critisizing. Instead show your magnificent body gratitude. Our bodies are incredible.  Every cell in our body is continuously renewing itself and our heart is a constant reminder of how miraculous life is.
Nourish it and celebrate your wonderful body. Who knows, this new mindset might even propel you to loose those extra "Covid-pounds".

Give yourself a break and celebrate your daily wins. I have started to keep a journal and every day I journalize my small wins.  It has been a tremendous exercise for me and extremely fulfilling. When you truly connect with your body – knowing its wellbeing – you will truly thrive.

Your body craves inner peace and positive responses from you. Remember the laws of "Karma"? " What you give, you get back." So create those positive feedback loops and reignite that love you have for yourself once again.

Self love & appreciation NEVER goes out of style.

Sorry to remind you, but it is October.  You know Halloween is around the corner and then it is a very quick downhill slide to Thanksgiving and yes the holidays will be here whether you like it or not. In light of our current pandemic and possible store shut-downs during the winter flu season, I urge you to think about the holidays now.  Let me help you and make it  easier for you.

  1. Click here and book a 20 min complimentary call with your gift list and budget.
  2. I will carefully curate all the options and either personally deliver to your house or ship them to you.
  3. Returns are on me.
  4. I will wrap and deliver.

Voila! As easy as 1, 2, 3  😜 You don't have to even go to any stores. You don't have to hassle with all those shipments coming to your house and all the returns. I will take care of all of them for you.

If you send me your list before October 31, I will throw in a self-splurge gift just for you.

Let me take care of your shopping

A New Mindset

How are you doing my friends? Or shall I say, are you all hanging in there?

Well if you are all hanging in there just like me, then always remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and let’s join together and make the best of the new normal and head towards that bright light. Accepting that there is a new normal in play is the first step, so let’s all take that first step together!

How am I dealing with the change?  Well, I try my best, just like you.  But honestly, I can’t deny that I really love not being in traffic. It’s like I’m not in LA anymore! And I am loving the extra time I have on my hands; hence daily exercise is something I can finally celebrate ;-)

My daily routine includes getting dressed like I always used to for work, minus the heels.  This definitely perks me up and makes me productive, whether I am doing home errands or being creative and crafting out a new course outline for all of you. You see, every day I prove to myself that the art of getting dressed is strictly for me and no one else, and that getting dressed is a part of carving a mindset for yourself.  Elevating your mood, an anti-depressant of sorts does wonders for your whole outlook on life. It really works, so try it next time when you find yourself in sweats, sluggish and worrying about all the negative news. You’ll finally see all the positive things, once you change your mindset.

So, the next time you wonder, why I am so full of energy? I will tell you, it’s all because I am dressed up, waiting to see all of you. 😉

Yes, it’s true! A few stylists in the city have been given access to stores for these following reasons.

To help some of these retail stores survive. And to finally serve our clients and open up society.

So, if you are seriously desperate to clean out that underwear drawer or get a few new pieces for the summer, then I am back in action to help you.

This will be the perfect medicine you need to uplift your spirits and get back to feeling great again. Jumpstart that mindset and lets do it together again!

One of my favorite indulgences are products from Diptyque. The Parisian fragrance house famously known for the candle no.34
This season they have come out with the ultimate Hand Soap & Lotion. They are in elegant glass jars with refills. A quick wash of your hands is like a quick trip down memory lane, in the Latin quarters of St. Germain Blvd. Each time you wash your hands will be a quick escape.
The only candle I will burn is theirs too. This season they have their Tuberose, which symbolizes sensual pleasure and the fragrance is intoxicating.  Since there is no escape to privacy these days, I will light my candle and drink my wine, while I think back to my summer in Paris last year.

Kim's Challenge for the week...

4 STEPS to ELEVATE YOUR MOOD & CHANGE YOUR MINDSET

  1. Play some of your favorite songs on your cell phone while you shower, and don’t be embarrassed to just belt out a few lyrics. Even if your out of tune, the echo in the shower will make you a star!
  2. Especially important, put some make up on. Even if it’s only mascara and lip gloss. Remember your eyes are the windows to your soul, so make sure to show your eyes beauty every time you look in the mirror.
  3.  Try my Quarantine Uniform – Nice joggers, blouse, and house shoes. It’s so comfortable and stylish too.
  4. Please do your Hair! With simple outfits it is all about your hair, especially if it is in desperate need of a cut and color. And at least blow dry it, curl it, fluff it out. You have your outgrown hairstyle, so give it life and wear it with pride.

I used to travel with a giant suitcase and at least ten pairs of shoes were always packed. In fact, I always had to beg our airline to turn a blind eye at the extra pounds my luggage possessed and of course I always lost! What an expensive mistake to pay for clothes you don’t need. Raise your hand if you ever had to repack your suitcase in front of a line of irritated passengers waiting to check in.

Well, no more my friends!  After years of packing for my clients I have cleverly unlocked a few key secrets to always travelling with a stylish wardrobe using only one medium sized suitcase.
